Sunday bloody Sunday... predictions

Sunday:

13.30: Arsenal Vs Blackburn: On paper this must be an Arsenal win. So there is no value in Backing Arsenal. Football as they say is a funny old game so Blackburn to have a shocking 2-0 win at the Emirates being 66/1 looks very tasty.

Theo Walcott set to make appearance from subs bench on Sunday

15:00: Everton Vs Stoke: Both teams haven’t been very impressive this term, but Everton are expected to win, a 3-2 win for Everton looks attractive though with most sports-books offering around 25/1.

15:00: West Ham Vs Fulham: West Ham have not won in the League since the opening day of the season and Fulham haven’t exactly set the league on fire either. Both teams have a lot to prove, so how about a thrilling 3-3 draw? Most bookies are offering around 50/1.

16:00: Chelsea Vs Liverpool: Finally a match we can sink our teeth into, a real highlight in the fixture calendar. I fancy Chelsea (as do the bookies), but I don’t think Liverpool will go down without a fight. 4-3 either way will give you odds of 100/1, fantastic value.

What's your betting one of these three open the scoring?

Monday

20:00: Aston Villa Vs Manchester City: The second mouth watering fixture of the weekend. The bookies think Villa will just shade it I fancy City and if there’s another goal feast how about City win 4-2, a cracking bet at 80/1!

With only two genuine ‘stand out’ games taking place this weekend (Chelsea Vs Liverpool, Sunday 1600 and Aston Villa Vs Manchester City); perhaps I might be being too optimistic about the astonishing ‘goals per game’ average continuing.

Yet with English football never looking as good why should we not indulge ourselves? Particularly with other European leagues looking increasingly insipid, anyone for the monotony of 0-0, 1-0, and 1-1 that is Serie A this season? I thought not!
